Jam Session: Nusaibin (Live) & Can Atakul (DJ Set)

Nusaibin: Nusaibin, the band, consists of two members at its core and can expand to a bunch with guests and collaborations. Core members are; Murat Can Oguz ( https://soundcloud.com/moguz ), responsible for arrangements and electronics (sampling, synths, drum machines) and Tarık Aslan responsible for percussions (daf, frame drum, djembe, dehollo, darbuka, cajon, bongo, udu). Also their upcoming EP includes guitars from Onur Özçelik and Didgeridoo from Koray Tarhan. Unity of these musicians created a left of center sound that is unaccustomed. Their music combines east’s cultural and humble instruments and west’s unclean electronic arrangements. The songs they construct through improvised recordings are formed by collaborations with fellow musicians and music groups from various eastern cultural backgrounds. After a year or two of playing in important venues of Istanbul such as Babylon, and festivals like Chill-Out Festival and Cappadox they have become an important part of Turkish music scene.
